To give you an idea of what's coming here's some of the features that will be included in the initial release of pixyBlog:
Templates and Themes: You can choose from one of the many chic themes included to get started immediately. You can edit these themes with your own colours and styles to make your photoblog unique, or you can fully customize your blog by designing your own theme with our easy to use interface and support for your favorite HTML editor such as Dreamweaver.
Custom domain name: Want to have your own domain? We can host your photoblog on your own domain name (e.g. www.yourdomain.com).
Email and domain name management (optional). Just want to upload your photos and blog? We can set-up and manage all the technical stuff leaving you to be free and creative.
Comment Management: Blacklist people, filter suspected spam, instant approval of regular posters - our sophisticated multi-level comment management system puts you in control.

Many thanks to all those who have been emailing to find out when pixyBlog will be launched, the number of enquiries has been amazing! We have done no advertising and until recently there was only a holding page up on our website. Additional thanks goes out to all the photobloggers who have offered their services as beta testers for the software. We have added your details to our database and will be contacting you over the months as we get closer to launching. If there are any other photobloggers interested in signing-up for beta testing, please send an email to beta-subscribe@pixyblog.com - you will receive an automated response and your email will be added to our database.
We had hope to have a limited release early this year (2006), but for reasons I will explain this has been delayed until the end of the year. Firstly we have relocated from Asia to the UK which took more time and resources than anticipated. This will allow us to better serve our customers as the majority are Europe and US based, another bonus is that our network/data-centre is located here which makes it a little easier to manage and update our servers. As of 22nd May we have been working from our new offices in Berkshire and everything is now starting to slot together.
The rollout of pixyBlog will been done over a number of steps. This allows us to continue to provide the level of service our existing customers have come to expect and also allows both us and our network to grow with the demand. With this approach in mind we are planning on a full release of the service for the middle of 2007.
